In a world where anything can happen, Cornwall Air Ambulance is inviting us all to make it our mission to fund its life-saving missions.
When the unthinkable happens, time is absolutely of the essence, and while the Cornish rural landscape inspires us with its enchanting beauty, it can be unforgiving when it comes to providing a clear and easy path for our ambulances.

Cornwall Air Ambulance is the charity that provides critical care to the most seriously sick and injured people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and when it comes to saving lives, every minute matters. The helicopter is on scene in an average of just 12 minutes on mainland Cornwall and less than 30 minutes on the Isles of Scilly, and can mean the difference between life and death, with the critical care aircrew providing pre-hospital treatment at the scene of the incident.
Cornwall Air Ambulance attends over 1,000 life-saving missions every year, all without any sort of government funding. It costs nearly £5 million per year for the team to provide this lifesaving service, which is only possible thanks to the generosity of people like you.

One of the ways the charity raises money is through a weekly lottery, which makes up around 20% of its annual income.
Courtney Gluyas from Camborne recently won £150 from the Cornwall Air Ambulance Lottery. The 94-year-old retired plumber loves to walk, cycle, and support his local Troon Cricket Club, and up until two years ago Courtney was able to drive himself independently, but due to a fall where he broke his arm and leg, he now relies on an ambulance to take him to his hospital appointments. After the incident, he is extremely grateful to all the emergency services and has given £25 of his winnings back to Cornwall Air Ambulance as recognition of the important work the charity does, splitting the rest of his winnings between himself and his 26-year-old grandson.
Courtney has been playing the lottery for years, and his late wife won a teddy bear in the lottery many years ago which still has pride of place in their bedroom. Playing Cornwall Air Ambulance’s Mission Maker lottery gives you the chance to win weekly cash prizes – a fun, simple way to give back to this important community service while being in with a chance to win some bonus cash.
